WORK IN PROGRESS:
A digital painting I’ve been working on for a while now (too long actually!)
It’s not done yet, I’m just at a bit of a stale mate as what to do from here.

My brother performing his original composition, ‘Hail Reed’. Watch, listen and enjoy!

So this digital painting was inspired by the bottom image by an amazing digital artist Loish (http://loish.deviantart.com). I actually started out trying to re-create it, as I found that copying is one of my best ways of learning. It started to turn into something different after a while and this is the result (first pic). I still need LOADS of practice, especially with the hair! I didn’t want to fiddle to much otherwise I’ll get extremely frustrated.

RETOUCHING PRACTICE: This is the final, with before and after shots, of a new image I’ve retouched. I went a little creative on this one! Hope you like!
I kept and enhanced her freckles because I think they add a lot of character.
This photo is NOT mine, it is from the DVD set The Art of Dodge and Burn by Krunoslav Stifter. I’m not sure if he is the photographer so not sure who to credit.
